Tight Lines is excited to welcome the newest member to our guide staff Gavin Marquart. We look forward to many years of good times at camp with this you man. GAVIN MARQUART Gavin grew up in the Green Bay area chasing any warm water species willing to eat a fly. He spent his undergrad at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse where much of his time went to chasing inland trout in the Driftless region. In the fall his attention shifts to huge flies and rigid rods in hopes of a boat side musky ambush. His passion for…Details
April Inland Report: We could not have possibly had better trout fishing weather this winter and early spring. The generally mild temps have lent to some great opportunities in Central WI and in the Driftless Area. Central- The streamer fishing has been ranging from good to excellent on any given day. Try darker patterns on overcast days and something yellow or white when the sun is out. Don’t be afraid to go big if you’re looking for a larger fish. A stocky sculpin pattern will produce some pretty shocking results if you commit to fishing it. The potential for…Details

Opening weekend of trout fishing has finally arrived. Below zero temps marked this years opening day but the mercury is on the rise. We traveled to the spring creeks to take a look and the rivers are in fantastic shape. With the flooding late last fall many rivers have clear gravel beds, trees and debris have been moved aside and water levers are perfect. Make sure to take advantage of the upcoming warmer days to get out and fish.
