Tight Lines Fly Fishing Company prides itself in being a full-service fly fishing shop. From the first day we opened our doors in Feb. of 2001, we were committed to offering much more than just a retail shop selling equipment, flies, clothing, and accessories. Tight Lines has always offered guided trips for trout, smallmouth bass, and other species (on request) throughout Wisconsin. We have also served as an outfitter, offering hosted trips to Montana, Belize and the Bahamas for those interested in pursuing western trout or bonefish. We strive for the absolute best outdoor experience for our clients; not only can our guides take you to the fish, but they can teach you to fly fish. They are all First Aid and CPR certified as well. Service and safety are our two most important goals.
We sincerely appreciate your business, and thank you for your support.

For many anglers, a musky caught on a fly is at or near the pinnacle of their fly fishing bucket list. “The Fish of 10,000 Casts”. “The Freshwater Permit”. We’ve heard them all, and the crew at Tight Lines is committed to dispelling these myths for our clients. Join us for a float down one of the Midwest’s premier musky rivers for a full day of casting flies to these iconic Midwestern fish. Just don’t lose your focus, as any cast, from the first to the last, could be the one that yields that big toothy grin.
Cost of these trips is $495 a day. Price includes use of gear, flies, lunches, N/A beverages and instruction. Price does not include guide gratuity. Anglers are expected to have appropriate clothing (including raingear), polarized glasses and a Wisconsin fishing license. Waders are not necessary. Some experience casting a fly rod is advised, as it will make the trip more enjoyable and increase the odds of landing a fish. Expect to cast 8 to 10 weight fly rods with flies ranging from 5″ to 10″ long. The timing for these trips is the last week in May and September 15th through November 30th. Lodging at nearby motels and lodges is available.
Our rivers here in the Midwest offer not only solid numbers of fish but also trophy potential. Each fall we see several fish in that 50-inch range… True trophies. Call the shop to reserve your dates and join us for a trip that you won’t soon forget.
